The Challenge
Rockefellers had strong in-person energy, but online discovery didn’t consistently convert into weeknight volume. The core challenge wasn’t “more posting”—it was building a predictable path from local search intent (Maps) to a clear reason to show up (events and weekly programming). We also needed tracking that a venue team could maintain without turning reporting into a full-time job.
What We Did
Rebuilt the Google Business Profile foundation: categories, services, description, photos, and local-intent language.
Created a local content plan tied to real programming: weekly themes, monthly featured nights, and seasonal moments.
Standardized an event-promotion workflow: one source of truth (calendar) → GBP Posts → social → recap content loop.
Implemented basic conversion paths: tap-to-call, directions, menu/booking links, and “what to expect” clarity.
Built a lightweight reporting cadence: weekly checks, monthly learnings, quarterly iteration.
Tracking & Measurement
We used Google Business Profile performance (calls, directions, website clicks) as the primary “local intent” signal, backed by UTM-tagged links for cleaner attribution in GA4 where applicable. Social performance was measured using Instagram insights (profile visits, link clicks/traffic, and content reach) compared to baseline periods. Weeknight impact was treated as a proxy metric (based on what the venue could reliably provide) and reviewed alongside event-night volume and promotion consistency.
Why It Worked
This worked because Local SEO and social weren’t treated as separate tasks—we connected them into one operating system: discovery → reason to visit → proof → repeat. The venue didn’t need viral content; it needed consistent, locally relevant signals across Google Maps and event promotion channels. Once the workflow was standardized, performance improved without adding chaos to day-to-day operations.
